These organs, of which I have only played the one in Villefranche, are special to me in that they are entirely provençal organs, having not been exported to all of France, but mostly stayed around their birthplace of Nice.

History

• This organ was first built for the church of Villefranche sur Mer in 1790 by the brothers Honoré and Antoine GRINDA, in a case by their associate woodworker Giovanni Antonio Mangiapano.
• In 1871 it is restored by François MADER and Louis ARNAUD.
• In 1962 it is modified by Jean KAUT.
• In 1982, it is rebuilt by Michel GIROUD.
• In 2006, it is restored by the Provençal organ manufacture.
